Michelle Ogundehin, Elle Decoration

Michelle Ogundehin has contributed to publications all over the world and is internationally recognized as an authority on interiors, style and design.

Trained as an architect, she cut her journalistic teeth 14 years ago at Blueprint Magazine (then edited by Deyan Sudjic, currently director of London´s Design Museum).

Her energy and enthusiasm led to her being headhunted by style guru Ilse Crawford to join ELLE Decoration as Features Director. Just 12 months later she was promoted to Deputy Editor under editor Toni Rodgers. And a year after that she became Editor at Large alongside the third ED editor Rachel Loos.

She was appointed Editor in Chief of Elle Decoration UK in May 2004, the final stage of a love affair with the magazine that´s 11 years long and counting!

Michelle is also director of her own design consultancy MO:studio.

She was born in Manchester; grew up in London; lived in New York for two years; shuttled between Los Angeles and London for another couple, and currently divides her time between homes in Brighton and London - a slightly shorter commute!

Most recently she was also appointed Editor in Chief of Real Homes magazine, a position she holds in addition to her role at ELLE Decoration.
